What Would Be Easier If You Had More Energy? A Look into movement

Quick Question:

If you had more energy what do you think would feel easier?

Probably a lot of things.

From going to work to playing with your kids– a lot of things would be easier.

Probably even getting your workout in would be easier– or at least for feel more attainable.

So how do you get more energy? I think we have a constant search for the answer.

Here are some ways you can do that:

  • Fueling your body well with what you need on an individual level

  • Getting quality sleep

  • Drinking Water and staying hydrated

  • Moving your body consistently– working your muscles and your brain.

Those answers of mine probably aren’t surprising, but those are the basics and that is what works. In fact I will be posting a series of blog posts that break down each one of these items above.

But for this post I want to break down the movement (number 4) portion of the list above just a little bit for you. There are three simple reasons why getting in you workout can give you more energy.

  • Boosts Circulation and Oxygen Flow

    • Movement gets your blood pumping, which helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to your muscles and brain.

    • More oxygen = more energy and less sluggishness.

  • Releases Endorphins:

    1. Exercise triggers "feel-good" hormones that naturally boost your energy and mood.

    2. This helps you feel more awake, happy, and ready to tackle your day.

  • Regulates Stress and Cortisol

    • Stress drains energy, but movement helps lower cortisol (the stress hormone).

    • Less stress means your body can use energy more efficiently, so you don’t feel as exhausted.

SO Even though you may have no energy to exercise— and that lack of energy makes it feel really hard to do— I encourage you to rethink this idea. Instead think about how using some of your energy to move and exercise even just a little bit can help give you more energy during your days and weeks.

If you are looking for new way and simple ways to move your body I have some free workouts that you can try out using this Link here!
